Where is this place?
There’s a place in the world that a lot of people attend.  It is indoors and gets very hot after a lot of hard work.
There is a lot of noise. The noise is mainly music, chatter and when the music is over a lot of heavy breathing, your brain would be buzzing with thoughts after having to remember everything you had done in the past.
When the hour is almost up you can smell the bad stench of sweaty people.  It’s even worse when there are a lot of people squished into the quite large room.  The room is practically bare, with wooden floors and bars running down one wall.  On a separate wall the only thing you can see is yourself as it is covered with mirrors.
There is a piano in one corner and a stereo at the front.  To visit this place would be good because you do not need to care about you appearance, just move to the music.
Can you guess where I am?

My Cliff Diving Experience
By Rawiri (13)
As I climbed up that cliff my butterflies started. It was getting to me; maybe I DON’T want to do this. I walked through the mud. I started saying “There is no such fear, but fear itself.”
I reached the top. Wow, it’s pretty high! There were some other boys jumping; if I jumped off the cliff, I would be the youngest person to jump. My aunt started counting down.
“Shut up, Aunty Nu,” I said. “It’s not helping!”
